Complainant/Victim: Leonard Todd Hintzen, Age 62 of Carlos, MN
Case Details:
On 10-03-2024 at approximately 13:30 hours, the Douglas county dispatch center received a 911 call advising of a potential ATV accident at the location of 12058 Fairfield Creek Road NE. Deputies responded and learned that an ATV driven by Leonard Hintzen was traveling Eastbound on Fairfield creek road, when a dog ran out in front of the ATV. Leonard attempted to activate his breaks but ultimately struck the dog and lost control of the ATV, ejecting himself in the process. Leonard was transported to Alomere health in Alexandria before being flown out by LifeLink to a nearby medical facility due to critical life threatening injuries.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Carlos First Responders and North Ambulance.
