WHAT WE DO:
The Douglas County Recorder is responsible for recording and preserving all real estate documents for Douglas County property. The Recorder’s Office also is a custodian of birth, death and marriage certificates, minister credentials, military discharges, state and federal tax liens, and notary public commissions. The Douglas County Recorder’s Office also serves as a Passport Acceptance Agent Facility on behalf of the US Department of State.
