The Douglas County Jail provides basic health care services via a contracted correctional health care company. Medical staff consists of one RN who works normal business hours Monday – Friday and is on-call after hours and on weekends. There is also a medical doctor who visits the jail every week to visit with inmates and conduct follow-up as needed.
