Lake Brophy County Park
Lake Brophy County Park is located 3 miles west on Alexandria on the shores of Lake Brophy and Union Lake. You can access the park via County Road 114 or the Central Lakes Trail. The park has options for summer and winter outdoor recreation. In the Summertime with the swimming beach (no lifeguard on duty), fishing pier, EZ kayak launch, fully accessible playground, multiple shelters with picnic tables, hiking & running trails, paved bike trails (Central Lakes Trail) and mountain bike trails you are sure to find something to please the whole family. In the wintertime you can enjoy the packed & groomed hiking trails, groomed cross country skiing trails, a groomed sledding hill, ice skating rink, multiple fire rings and a warming area with indoor bathrooms. This 106-acre park hosts large events like Summer Sounds by Brophy, the Alexandria Triathlon, and the High School Mountain bike racing series as well as small family gatherings and weddings.
