Case Details:
On April 24, 2024 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a residential fire at Woodlawn Trailer Park in Garfield. It was reported that visible smoke was coming from inside a residential trailer and that all people from the residence were safe and accounted for. The Garfield Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, but the residence is a total loss. The cause of the fire is believed to be associated with the electrical system or an item plugged into the electrical system.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Garfield Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance Service.
