Location: Lake Mary

Complainant/Victim: Christopher Block, Age 40 of Alexandria, MN

Case Details:

On 1/7/2025 at 1257 hours the Douglas County Sheriff's Office took a 911-call on Lake Mary of a vehicle thru the ice. The complainant/driver was safe and out of the vehicle. When Deputies arrived on scene it was learned that Christopher's fish house and truck fell through the ice, north of the main channel between Little Mary and Big Mary. The area had a large pressure ridge and was near the cattails. The ice was approximately 3-4 inches thick where the truck broke through and 4-feet of water. No parties were injured during the incident.
The MN DNR and Douglas County Sheriff's Office assisted on scene.
