Juvenile Detention

The Douglas County Jail has two juvenile holding cells within the booking area.

We are authorized to hold juveniles who have committed a crime for up to 24 hours. This does not include weekends or holidays. If the juvenile will need to be held longer than 24 hours, they will be transported to Moorhead Juvenile Detention Center.

Juveniles are allowed to visit with their parents or guardians while in the jail and are kept separate from the adult inmates.”
